Sir,

I have the honour to report that I have

appointed Mr. R.H. Kotewall, C.M.G., LL.D., provisionally

and subject to His Majesty's pleasure to be temporarily

an unofficial member of the Executive Council in the

place of the Honourable Sir Shouson Chow, Kt., who is

temporarily absent from the Colony.

Mr. Kotewall is an unofficial member of

the Legislative Council. He has on previous occasions

been appointed a temporary member of the Executive

Council during the absence of Sir Shouson Chow. In this

connection I would invite your attention to my despatch

No.532 of the 25th October, 1933.

A copy of the instrument appointing Mr.

Kotewall is enclosed.

In accordance with Colonial Regulation 175

I enclose also a list of the present members of the
